Cybersecurity Task

We used a pattern detection task which asked players to identify ‘cyber attacks.’ The Cybersecurity task was developed using MATLAB R2010a with the Psychophysics Toolbox Version 3 extension. The task, themed on role-playing within a cyber-security context to facilitate emotional engagement, required participants to deduce the correct suspicious target from each list of communications, based on patterns with respect to their properties.
